Upon accepting the Chairmanship of the Association for the Revitalization of Metropolitan Bilbao, I was motivated by the scope and content of its aims: to bring together public institutions and private enterprises in order to achieve the same objective of revitalizing the metropolis. At this point in time, I am being witness to the fruits of our labor, as they are materializing in a living and dynamic reality which reflects the shared vision of the future of Metropolitan Bilbao. 

The aims of Bilbao Metropoli-30 are being reached within reasonable time limits and its socialcost is being assumed by the collaboration and contributions of institutions, town councils and private enterprises within Metropolitan Bilbao. It is principally to these types of collectives that I am making a special appeal to join our exciting journey towards the future.

We believe in the future vision of Bilbao as an internationally competitive metropolis where its citizens enjoy a high quality of life. The materialization of this common goal can only be attained by uniting the endeavors of leadership, communication, enterprises and society in order to transform Metropolitan Bilbao, and as a natural consequence the Basque Country, into an advanced society.
