I CITIES AND VALUES CONGRESS

    The Association Bilbao Metropoli-30 has worked with the "Encuentro Foundation" in the annually published report on the Spanish social reality. The chapter titled "A new strategic speech on cities" has been made with the participation of a great number of managers from different Spanish cities. This study tries to determine the influence and importance of the social values in the economic development of cities.

    In view of the interest of the work, the Association has decided to organise a meeting in which the representatives of the institutions that have contributed to their accomplishment share the results and have the opportunity to interchange ideas on the matter. Therefore, Bilbao Metropoli-30 has organised the I Cities and Values Congress that will take place next 4th June. In the opening act, we will count on the intervention of Mr. Ricardo Barkala, Councillor of Employment and Promotion of the Bilbao City Council, later Mr. Agustín Blanco, General Manager of the Encuentro Foundation, will talk about "The cities in the Encuentro Foundation reports", and finally, Ms. Cristina Rivero, Responsible for Studies and Investigations of the Association, will present the work "A new strategic speech on cities". Later a debate about the influence of values in the development of the cities will be opened.
