III CITY AND VALUES FORUM
CUERNAVACA 2008

In the wake of the signing last May of a co-operation agreement between the municipal council of Cuernavaca in the State of Morelos (Mexico) and the Association for the Revitalisation of Metropolitan Bilbao, the Mexican city is to host the III City and Values Forum - Cuernavaca 2008 in October 9th and 10th.

The forum is targeted at holders of public office and private sector personnel working in local and metropolitan development, and at management staff at both local level and the social and economic area of the State of Morelos as a whole. The idea is to make both public and private sector players aware that urban development must be based on improvements in values and changes in behaviour as well as on essential improvements in infrastructures and services. A number of values which are key for the future development of Cuernavaca but also applicable elsewhere will be identified and disseminated, based on an awareness of the history and present situation of the city and the need for synergies with the process of infrastructure development.
